Hospitals under "enormous pressure" to perform

Two of our region's hospitals have been highlighted as having some of the highest rates for discharging patients overnight.

Research by The Times Newspaper, in the last year, said around six per cent of patients at Milton Keynes Hospital and the Norfolk and Norwich were asked to leave between 11 at night and six in the morning.

The paper contacted 170 NHS trusts in England but only 100 responded. The British Medical Association said it shows the "enormous pressure" the health service is under.
