Fuel strike: How prepared is the East?
Talks to avert a fuel strike are reaching a make or break stage as tanker drivers have until Monday April 16, to decide whether or not they plan to go ahead with action.
The region's emergency services say they are confident police, fire and ambulance crews will have enough fuel, even if a strike goes ahead.
But the outlook is less promising for the rest of us as one trade body looking after garages is calling the Government's plans "not fit for purpose".
