Norfolk car-maker Lotus could be sold
Lotus has today refused to comment on reports that the company will be sold.
If Lotus is put up for sale it would jeopardise the company's ambitious plans to bring out five new models and its production base in Hethel, Norfolk.
In January Lotus was bought out by the Malaysian conglomerate DRB-Hicom.
In January DRB-Hicom told Anglia News: "We have to sit down and look at all the plans and operations of Lotus before we decide whether we are selling or stick with Lotus. We need to see if the (business) plan is viable or not."
Lotus has denied reports that they have gone into liquidation, but hey have refused to comment about a possible sale of the company.
Dany Bahar remains the chief executive of Lotus. He is currently on leave.
