Vettel second in Australia Formula 1 Grand Prix

Red Bull finish 2nd and 4th in F1 Grand Prix opener

Formula One World champion Sebastian Vettel had to settle for second place in the opening Grand Prix of the season in Melbourne, Australia.

Vettel, who started sixth on the grid for Red Bull Racing of Milton Keynes, finished behind McLaren's Jenson Button. Stevenage born Lewis Hamilton came third despite starting in pole position, while Red Bull's Mark Webber finished fourth.

Of the region's other F1 teams Force India, based at Silverstone in Northamptonshire, picked up a point with Paul Di Resta finishing tenth.

Seven times World champion Michael Schumacher failed to finish for the Brackley based Mercedes team. Caterham of Norfolk also failed to score.
