Two British hikers missing for nearly a week in Italian Dolomites mountains
Two British men have been missing for nearly a week after hiking in Italy's Dolomites mountains, according to a charity.
Aziz Ziriat, 36, and Sam Harris, 35, were last heard from at 2.20pm on January 1 while hiking in the Dolomites, according to Crystal Palace Football Club's Charity, Palace for Life.
The charity, for whom Mr Ziriat works, said the two friends had missed their return flight on January 6 and no one has heard from them since New Years Day.
Their last known location is believed to be near a hut called Casina Dosson, near the town Tione Di Trento, close to Riva Del Garda on Lake Garda, the charity added.
Mr Ziriat is 36 years old and is 6ft 3in while Mr Harris, 35 is 5ft 11in.
Mr Harris is thought to be last wearing the outfit seen in a photo of him standing in the snow on the mountain, wearing dark trousers, a grey top with a red lined coat and glasses.
The two men are thought to be following a route through the mountains, as shown by the charity, in a diagram they posted.
The charity said: "We are urging supporters to share any information they might have to help locate Palace for Life staff member Aziz Ziriat, and his friend Sam Harris, who have been missing since 1st January whilst hiking in the Dolomites mountains in northeastern Italy."
"We are appealing for anyone familiar with the area, who can provide assistance or information, to get in touch."
The charity has asked anyone with information on the whereabouts of the two hikers to dial 999 and quote reference number CAD 0197/07Jan25.
