Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio team up to train new prodigy in Karate Kid: Legends trailer
After five films, an animated series, and a Netflix spin-off, Karate Kid is returning to the big screen - this time, featuring some familiar faces.
Karate Kid: Legends will bring together the original trilogy's karate kid, Ralph Macchio, and martial arts legend, Jackie Chan.
The new trailer for the film, released on Wednesday, shows the pair come together to mentor the eponymous youngster, karate kid Li Fong.
Ralph Macchio played Daniel LaRusso in the original 1984 Karate Kid movie, and Jackie Chan played Mr Han in the 2010 remake, alongside Jaden Smith.
Li Fong will be played by newcomer Ben Wang, who becomes the latest protege to Daniel and Mr Han.
The first official trailer for Karate Kid: Legends was released today.
Fans of the iconic martial arts franchise took to social media to express their excitement about the new installment.
"I think combining what worked about the Jackie Chan Karate Kid movie with the popularity of Ralph Macchio are all great moves," one user posted on X. "This has the potential to be big. And good."
"This is going to be an awesome movie," another user posted. "Jackie and Ralph crossover is one thing I never thought would happen."
Another described it as the "crossover of the century."
Karate Kid: Legends arrives in UK cinemas on May 30 2025.
