'He's in the chimney': Police catch Massachusetts fugitive who gets stuck in chimney

Bodycam video from the Fall River Police Department shows the man getting stuck in the chimney of a house

A man was arrested after getting stuck in a chimney while he attempted to run away from police in Massachusetts.

It happened as officers were carrying out a search warrant at a home in Fall River on Tuesday, according to a Facebook post.

Police said in a statement: "During the application of said search warrant, two males fled from the residence via rooftop. One male eluded capture by bounding from the roof and onto a parked vehicle.

"The other male ... invoked the essence of the seasonal icon and attempted to hide inside of a chimney."

Bodycam footage shows a detective looking up and shouting: "Hey he's on the roof. Get down here!"

Officers climbed up the roof and found the man stuck in the chimney of a home. “You're an idiot,” one of them said.

Firefighters were eventually called to free Langlias, who was stuck in the chimney with his hands over his head. He was then taken to a local hospital.
