'Lisa, she's gay!': Harry Styles helps fan come out to her mother at concert
A Harry Styles fan was left elated after the singer helped her come out as gay to her unsuspecting mother during a concert.
The fan, who went to see Styles on the Milwaukee leg of his US tour said the heartwarming moment will stay with her "forever".
At the concert on Wednesday night, she had been standing stage-side with her friends with a sign reading: "My mom is in section 201. Help me come out??".
Spotting the banner, Styles, who found fame in chart-topping group One Direction, ran over to the fan. He held out the microphone to her so she could make the announcement to her mother, who was in a separate part of the audience.
However, the bashful fan asked Styles to relay the message on her behalf, as there were "a lot of people" at the gig.
Styles subsequently ran back towards the centre of the stage and yelled into the microphone: "Lisa, she's gay!".
The cameras at the concert panned to the fan's mum, who appeared to be overwhelmed as the crowd around her erupted into applause.
Following the concert, the fan tweeted a picture of her smiling mother holding a Styles T-shirt.
The caption read: "Everyone meet LISA!!! She is overjoyed & also wanted everyone to know she had the best time & couldn’t stop dancing tonight!!!
"She wanted me to show y’all she got her merch thank you all SO MUCH FOR THE LOVE."
The fan thanked Styles profusely for "a moment that will actually be with me forever".
"Thank you for creating a safe place for me. Thank you for letting me grow alongside you as a fan. Thank you for helping me know who I am. Thank you," she wrote.
