Meet Britain's oldest graduate - a former solicitor, 96, who has a degree in fine art
A 96-year-old former solicitor has become Britain's oldest graduate after completing a degree in fine art
Archie White is believed to be Britain's oldest graduate after he completed a degree in fine art at the age of 96.
The former solicitor, who studied at East Sussex College, retired at 92 and had a stroke five years ago.
He says age is no barrier. And his energy, like his paintings, knows no limits.
He told ITV News: "If you truly wish to do something, art is irrelevant. It is the desire and the fulfilment."
Archie wants to set up a charity to help arts graduate, although he says you don't need a degree to enjoy art. Anyone interested in helping can email hellohe@escg.ac.uk
