Met Office forecast more warnings for extreme heat ahead of thunderstorms this evening
This Evening and Tonight:
Heavy showers and thunderstorms over east and southeast England slowly fading, then dry and warm overnight with clear periods, but low cloud and hill fog affecting northeast England and eastern Scotland.
Wednesday:
Another dry and sunny day for many areas, once low cloud clears back to the coast in the northeast. The high temperatures may trigger isolated heavy showers in the afternoon.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Dry and sunny for most Thursday and Friday, remaining hot in the west. Cloudier conditions and heavy showers spreading across southern UK Friday evening and Saturday, fine in the north.
ITV Presenter Alex Beresford explains why the heat warnings are important and why jumping into open water to cool down is a bad idea
