Edward Colston debate reignited as statue goes on display in Bristol
Almost exactly a year after it was thrown into the waters of Bristol Harbour, the statue of the slave trader Edward Colston went back on public display on Friday.
Having been pulled down by Black Lives Matter protestors, it has been placed on its back, with graffiti still on it, alongside the demonstrators' placards.
Organisers say the display will help people discuss the statue and its "wider history".
