'It means so much': Weddings back on after lockdown easing
Video report by ITV News Correspondent Stacey Foster
Weddings are very much back on the agenda after the easing of lockdown in England.
Couples can now tie the knot whenever they want but are only permitted six people to attend, including the bride and groom.
It’s been a long wait for Oliver and Danielle Davenport but they can finally say they are man and wife, even if the celebration was far smaller than anticipated.
“It means so much for us to get married before our son arrives," Oliver told ITV News.
"That is the main consideration, I think, and with the due date only being six weeks away.
"We selected the date and went for it.”
The vicar carried out the ceremony and even offered to become the official photographer.
With receptions still banned, the wedding breakfast was a socially distanced toast in the garden.
It might not have been as anticipated but it will still be a day they will remember for the rest of their lives.
