Memorial forest for Covid-19 victims opens

  • Video report from ITV News reporter Richard Pallot

Hundreds of yellow ribbons have been tied to trees near the Magna Carta memorial in Surrey, in order to remember those who have died from Covid-19.

The tribute has been organised by Forest of Memories, which eventually hopes to plant a tree for every coronavirus victim in new forests across the country.

ITV News spoke to some of those paying their respects to loved ones via yellow ribbons.
