Mary W Jackson: NASA names HQ after agency's first Black female engineer

Mary W Jackson was one of the Hidden Figures who helped NASA reach for the stars. And in doing so she was breaking boundaries herself.

In 1958 she became the agency's first Black female engineer, and through her work opened the door for more women to follow in her footsteps.

Today NASA honoured her groundbreaking achievements by naming its headquarters in Washington DC after her.
