UK coronavirus death toll rises to 45,752 after 14 more deaths reported
The UK coronavirus death toll has risen to 45,752 after a further 14 people died after testing positive for Covid-19.
Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have now been more than 55,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
The government also said in the 24-hour period up to 9am on Sunday, there had been a further 747 lab-confirmed cases.
Overall, a total of 299,426 cases have been confirmed.

A further nine people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital in England, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 29,281, NHS England said.
Patients were aged between 36 and 89, and all had known underlying health conditions.
In Wales, there was one additional death - bringing the death toll up to 1,549.
No deaths of people who tested positive for the virus have been recorded for more than a week running in Scotland, meaning the toll remains at 2,491.
In Northern Ireland, the death toll figure has not been updated since Friday, when it stood at 556.
