The circus that came to town... and was stuck for five months

When the circus came to town in the seaside resort of Morecambe in Lancashire, it would have been hard to imagine that a global pandemic would leave them stranded for five months. For the Big Kid Circus performers, it has been tough.

No shows, no money and no way of knowing when they can return to their home countries. They couldn't have got through it, they say, without the kindness of local people who have given them food and clothes. So as a way of saying thank you, they are putting on special shows for them, free of charge.
