UK weather: Mostly dry and cloudy day for many

It will be a mostly dry but largely cloudy day for many with mist and hill fog. The poorest conditions likely across the central swathe of the UK.

There will be some brightness, especially towards the northeast where temperatures should reach highs of 11 or 12 Celsius.

Elsewhere it will be colder under the cloud. Rain will push into the far northwest with stronger winds.
