Man discovers house proud mouse is keeping his shed squeaky clean
Video report by ITV News Correspondent Rupert Evelyn
A man has found himself accommodating a rather unexpected cleaner in his shed after leaving a box of peanuts out for his garden birds.
Stephen McKears from Gloucestershire was puzzled after items he left on his workbench kept being put away overnight.
First he blamed himself going mad, then he thought a poltergeist may be at work.
It was only after setting up a camera in the shed did he realise the true cause of the moving items - a very house proud mouse.
The mouse showed incredible strength as it attempted to lift a hosepipe connector and a pair of clamps into an ice cream tub.
Stephen told ITV News: "I thought it was amazing that a little mouse could lift so much and get in there in the matter of a couple of hours.
"He's very busy, he's at it, first one then the next, he doesn't give up until it's all in there."
He thinks the mouse was trying to cover up the nuts in the box in a bid to stop other animals from getting at them.
Stephen jokes he doesn't mind it being there - so long as it doesn't bring too many friends back.
