UK Weather: Windy with showers, rain lingering in the south

Today:

Outbreaks of rain across central areas will clear from all but parts of the south and southwest. Scattered blustery showers follow, these heavy and thundery in the north and northwest and bringing some hill snow. Windy, particularly across the northeast.

Tonight:

Showers in the north, but rain and very strong winds will move northeastwards overnight, with the rain turning to snow across parts of Northern Ireland and southern Scotland by morning.
