Wet and windy Tuesday as Storm Gareth approaches
As very wet and windy morning with heavy rain moving southeastwards across England and Wales.
Winds will be gusty in the heaviest rain, and this will linger through much of the day across eastern and southeastern England.
Elsewhere, skies will brighten, but showers will follow these heavy and squally in places, with hail and thunder as well as some snow over northernhills.
Winds will briefly die down, once the rain clears through but it will then turn very windy in the northwest later as Storm Gareth approaches.
Temperatures will take a tumble through the day with highs of 8 Celsius (46 F).
