Alberto Costa was on Wednesday dismissed from the government for putting down an amendment to protect the rights and status of EU migrants that is government policy and was accepted by the government.

On Thursday, George Eustice resigned to protect what was the PM’s policy (till Tuesday) that a no-deal Brexit must be kept on the table.

But 25 government ministers who rebelled against the Cabinet’s policy, some very publicly, that we must leave the EU on March 29, all kept their jobs.

The parliamentary Conservative Party is almost as angry and divided as the parliamentary Labour Party - almost.
