Ariana Grande confirmed for Manchester return after 2017 terror attack
Ariana Grande will perform at Manchester's LGBT Pride festival this summer, returning to the city after a terror attack killed fans leaving one of her concerts.
Twenty-two people died when a homemade device was detonated at the US pop star's show in Manchester Arena in May 2017.
Ms Grande has performed once in the city following the attack, appearing at the One Love fundraiser held to support those affected.
In the weeks following the bombing, the 25-year-old said she struggles to think about what happened.
The singer "suffered wild dizzy spells," as she came to terms with the bombing.
She wrote her hit single No Tears Left To Cry after the Manchester attack. It was her first release after a short hiatus from music.
The pop singer's huge following is likely to attract large crowds.
Earlier this week, Ms Grande became the most followed woman on Instagram, surpassing former title holder Selena Gomez.
Security for the concert will no doubt be tight as fans attending the singer's current tour have been asked to purchase a clear plastic bag for their possessions.
The singer also shared a message on social media urging them to help make events secure.
Mark Fletcher, chief executive of Manchester Pride, said: "This year marks a big change for the festival as it continues to evolve."
Other acts performing at the event includes Bananarama, Years and Years, and Faithless.
