Passengers flying into Gibraltar had an rough end to their trip after a British Airways flight was caught in violent crosswinds.

The aircraft can been seen swaying from side-to-side in the video, filmed from under the jet's flight path.

The airline confirmed the flight is BA492 from London Heathrow to Gibraltar. Reports suggest the flight was diverted to Malaga where the passengers were taken by bus to their final destination.

British Airways said: "Due to strong winds in the Gibraltar area, our pilots decided to land in Malaga as a precaution. We arranged ground transport for affected customers to allow them to continue their journey to Gibraltar and apologised for the disruption to their journey. At no point was there a risk to safety."
