Black cat 'pawses' play in Premier League pitch invasion

Everton were hounded by a pack of Wolves and one black cat at Goodison Park on Saturday, with a stray feline making its way onto the pitch.

Moments after Leander Dendoncker put Wolves 3-1 up against Everton, a Merseyside moggy soon intervened to cause a lengthy delay.

The football-loving feline caused a three to four-minute delay during the second half of the Premier League match, with the cat making its way from one penalty area to another - just the sort of movement Marco Silva might have expected from his struggling side.

The black cat crossing in front of Wolves' goal early in the second half might have been a sign, but it offered no change to Everton's luck as thousands of the restless fans headed for the exits before full-time.

Wolves have now won seven of their last 11, and have a four-point cushion over eighth-placed Watford.
