Rain and cloudy skies arriving from the west

After sunshine for many this morning, outbreaks of rain and cloudy skies will arrive from the west.

The rain may often be heavy, slowly moving towards the southeast.

Ahead of this rain in the southwest, temperatures will rise to 22 Celsius (72F).

For Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England there will be some sunshine, however showers are likely here, with the risk of hail and thunder.
