ITV returns to Paris for exclusive free to air live coverage of the French Open: Roland-Garros 2018 tournament introduced by John Inverdale.

Once again, 18-time Grand Slam winner Martina Navratilova will lend her expertise and insight to ITV’s team for the women’s final at Roland Garros.

Joining John and Martina are a team which also includes 2013 Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli, four-time Grand Slam winner Jim Courier, Andy Murray's former coach Mark Petchey, Fabrice Santoro, who played in 70 Grand Slams, and former British ladies number one Samantha Smith. Nick Mullins is commentator with Celina Hinchcliffe the court-side reporter.

ITV’s coverage starts on Sunday May 27 with live broadcasts of each day’s play throughout the tournament. The vast majority of the tournament will be broadcast on ITV4, with the men’s and women’s singles finals on ITV.

So-called ‘king of clay’ Rafael Nadal heads into the tournament hoping for an eleventh victory after a resurgent 2017, while 2016 winner Novak Djokovic has gone off the boil but still remains an outside bet, while Andy Murray and Roger Federer miss the tournament.

In the women’s game, Serena Williams’s participation isn’t yet guaranteed but if she takes part she will aim to pick up where she left off before taking 2017 off while pregnant - in dominant form. In the meantime, last year’s winner Jelena Ostapenko, Simona Halep, Victoria Azarenka and Maria Sharapova will aim to pick up the Roland-Garros crown.
