Tonight England take on their old rivals Germany in a friendly match at Wembley Stadium live on ITV.

England have a depleted squad due to injury however manager Gareth Southgate will be hoping to see how his makeshift side can perform against the current World Cup holders.

The two sides have met twice in the last two years most recently during a 1-0 defeat for England in Dortmund.

Prior to that in March 2016 England shocked their German counterparts when they came from behind to claim a 3-2 win in the Olympic Stadium thanks to goals from Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy and Eric Dier.

Germany who've won the World Cup four times, won on their last visit to Wembley, with Arsenal's Per Mertesacker securing a 1-0 win back in 2013.

England have been hit by a mass of injuries and with Jack Butland the latest omission from the squad, Gareth Southgate is likely to field a fairly experimental side.

Crystal Palace's Ruben Loftus Cheek could start in the centre of midfield with rumours that Swansea's Tammy Abraham could also play a prominent role.

Despite the injury fallout Joe Hart, Gary Cahill, Kyle Walker and Eric Dier will represent the most capped players on show for the Three Lions.
