Manhunt after five people injured in Swiss chainsaw attack
At least five people have been injured in a chainsaw attack in Switzerland - with the suspect on the run.
Two people were left in a serious condition following the rampage in Schaffhausen, a town near the German border, on Monday.
Swiss police have named Franz Wrousis, 51, as the suspect, a man with previous convictions for weapons offences.
Wrousis remains at large, police reported, adding that the attack was not believed to be terrorist-related.
As the manhunt continues, authorities have described Wrousis as bald, 6'2" tall, unkempt, and driving in a Volkswagen vehicle with Swiss plates.
Swiss newspaper Blick reported that two of the victims were employees of an insurance company, both of whom were taken to hospital.
The identities of the other victims remain unclear.
Police official Ravi Landolt said Wrousis had previous weapon offences dating back to 2014 and 2016.
The manhunt continues.
