Portugal and Mexico draw 2-2 in Confederations Cup
Mexico scored an injury time equaliser to ensure a 2-2 draw with Portugal in the second match in the 2017 Confederations Cup.
Kazan was the location for the Group A match and, despite Mexico dominating possession early on, they needed a late header from Hector Moreno to steal a point from the last summer's European Championships winners.
Earlier, Javier Hernandez had cancelled out Ricardo Quaresma's opening goal with a diving header, while Southampton's Cedric Soares looked to have won it late on for Portugal before Moreno's intervention.
After a good start from Mexico it was Cristiano Ronaldo who lit the game up midway through the first half.
The No. 7 firstly rattled the crossbar with a long-range strike, with the rebound ending in the net via Pepe and Nani, only for the 'goal' to be chalked off after consulting with the video assistant referee.
It was Ronaldo who then sped clear to tee up Quaresma for a simple finish to open the scoring - but Hernandez's emphatic header levelled matters less than 10 minutes later.
Both sides were somewhat more conservative after the break, until a spate of late, offensive-minded substitutions led to a raft of chances.
Cedric took his opportunity from close range to put Portugal back in front via a deflection, but with the seconds ticking down in injury time, Moreno rose highest to beat Rui Patricio and earn Mexico a deserved point.
Both sides trail hosts Russia in Group A, who won their opening game on Saturday, beating New Zealand 2-0.
