Chris Eubank Jr to fight Arthur Abraham on ITV Box Office
Chris Eubank Jnr will defend his IBO World Super Middleweight against Arthur Abraham on the 15th of July. The bout will be held at Wembley Arena and will be Eubank's second fight live on ITV Box Office. The previous fight saw Eubank claim his title after defeating Renold Quinlan back in February.
This time Eubank faces a different proposition in the 37 year old Abraham who previously held the WBO super middleweight title twice between 2012 and 2016 and has over 50 bouts to his name.
Speaking at a press conference Eubank admitted he had plenty of respect for his opponent but claimed "Anybody that steps into the ring I have respect for, but this is my time now.
"This is the next generation. I have been preparing all my life to fight the best and now i've got the opportunity to fight one of the top super-middleweight's in the world."
Abraham who previously fought fellow British boxers such as Carl Froch, Martin Murray and Paul Smith was asked what he made of Eubank's previously and he responded in bullish fashion.
"I don't really need to focus on his tactics, I'll show you all when i'm in the ring."
Chris Eubank Snr made a late appearance at today's press conference and spoke about who his son needed to face in the future.
"He needs to face the champions, it seems that the job has been done so well that the champions don't want to fight him.
"Why will DeGale not fight him? We've been calling him out. That's not right for an IBF champion. If you're a champion, defend your title."
You can see the fight live on ITV Box Office on July 15th.
