Cristiano Ronaldo urges Real Madrid fans to stop booing him at the Bernabeu
Cristiano Ronaldo has urged Real Madrid fans to stop booing him after the forward's hat-trick guided them past Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Real reached the semis thanks to Ronaldo's perfect hat-trick at the Bernabeu, but was jeered in the first half after missing a couple of attempts.
Ronaldo celebrated his first goal of the night by putting his fingers to his lips to 'shush' the supporters.
"I'm not asking them to name streets after me, the only thing I ask is that they don't boo me here," he told Spanish TV station Antena 3.
"I want them to stop booing me because I always give my best and even when I don't score I try to help Real Madrid."
Meanwhile, Real boss Zinedine Zidane suggested fans will no longer boo the Portugal international after his match-winning efforts over Bayern.
