Manchester United have been drawn to play Belgian side Anderlecht in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League.

Jose Mourinho's men narrowly saw off Russian outfit FC Rostov on Thursday night, 2-1 on aggregate, to book their place in the last eight and continue their attempt to win a trophy which would propel them into the Champions League next season.

United are the only remaining Premier League side in Europe's second-tier competition this term, while last year saw Liverpool knock United out en-route to the final, eventually losing to Sevilla.

United will play their first leg away at Anderlecht's Constant Vanden Stock Stadium, on Thursday, April 13, before hosting the second leg at Old Trafford one week later.

The Red Devils have never won the UEFA Cup/Europa League, but manager Mourinho is likely to increasingly see it as a priority this season given the competition to finish in the top four of the Premier League.

His side are sixth in the table, six points behind fourth-place Liverpool with two games in hand, but Mourinho's side will take England's fourth Champions League spot for 2017/18 if they win the Europa League this season.
