Bruno Mars does Elvis impression in latest Carpool Karaoke

Bruno Mars revealed how Elvis Presley inspired him to become a pop star - at four-years-old.

Mars is the latest celebrity to hitch a lift on James Corden’s Late Late Show Carpool karaoke and revealed he was just four-years-old when he knew he wanted to perform.

"I was impersonating Elvis Presley in my dad's rock 'n' roll, 1950s revue in Waikīkī.

Asked what Elvis song a four-year-old could perform, Mars starts singing Jailhouse Rock.

Cordon drove Mars around the streets of Los Angeles as the pair of them sand along to the Hawaiian-born singers hits, including Uptown Funk, If I Knew, Perm and Grenade.

“I’d catch a grenade for you,” Corden tells Mars in the clip, but “only if the pin was in."
