Fake dentist arrested after pulling 10 teeth without anaesthetic
A fake dentist has been arrested after extracting 10 teeth without anaesthetic.
Robert "Robbie" Rheinlander, 53, claimed to be a dentist in South Carolina before moving to Florida.
He carried out the dental work, including making dentures, during home visits to help people save money.
Rheinlander was reported to police by a couple who had worked carried out by him.
The woman had medical problems caused by a fragment of tooth left behind after an extraction.
They then researched him and found out he wasn’t a dentist, although records show he was a dental technician in South Carolina between 2005 and 2006.
He was arrested after an undercover detective arranged to meet him for dental work.
He faces a charge of practising dentistry without a licence.
