The Military Wives Choir are hoping to top the charts again this Christmas with their single Home For Christmas.

The reworking of Hark! The Herald Angels Sing reflects the lives of modern military families.

The single features 1,007 singers from 69 different Military Wives Choirs from across the UK, Bahrain, Cyprus and Germany, and is featured on their Christmas album of the same name, funds raised from which will go towards the the hit will go to the Military Wives Choirs Foundation.

In 2011 the Military Wives Choir, pipping X Factor winners to Christmas Number One with their single Wherever You Are.

Following their success there are now 74 military wives choirs around the world, involving 2,500 women and raising money for charity.

Gigi Tomlin, who's husband was in Iraq when their daughter was born explained why she is part of a choir: "It isn't just about singing, the rehearsals are places of mutual support and community where individual wives can feel valued and special and needed."
