Danny Baker: I was booted out I'm A Celeb first because nobody liked me

Danny Baker has said the reason he was the first to be booted off I'm A Celebrity was because the public didn't like him.

The broadcaster told Good Morning Britain: "You get turfed out first, you get turfed out first, you can't put a spin on it."

He had hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid in giggles, as he said: "Nobody likes you and that's it.

"I've been doing this too long. There's no other [reason]. The public wanted less Baker!"

But Baker revealed there was a silver lining to being the first evictee.

"You don't earn an extra shilling for staying in there an extra day - that somehow brings balm to the wound."

He also took a swipe at campmate Martin Roberts after viewers saw the pair row on more than one occasion.

"Somewhere in Britain there is a panto missing its Dame," he said.
