Singer Peter Andre and his wife Emily MacDonagh have become parents to a baby boy.

The child is the couple's second, following the birth of their daughter, Amelia, in January 2014.

Confirming the news, a spokesman for Andre said that "mum and baby are doing well" following the birth on Monday.

Andre also took to Twitter to announce the news and thanked his fans for their well wishes.

The boy's name is yet to be announced.

Andre, 43, married MacDonagh, 16 years his junior, in Exeter in July 2015.

He already has two other children from his relationship with glamour model Katie Price, son Junior Savva, 11, and daughter Princess Tiaamii Crystal Esther, nine.

Less than a month ago, Andre travelled to a specialist clinic in Amsterdam to find out exactly how it feels to give birth, in support of his expecting wife.Describing the experience as "hell," he told ITV's Loose Women: "I felt like a sledgehammer had hit me."
