Tony and Trump? The next special relationship?
First Farage, now Blair? Rumours have been swirling that the former prime minister could be poised to advise Donald Trump as the President-elect puts his transition team together.
And tonight Mr Blair's office have confirmed to me that he did indeed meet Mr Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who is highly influential in Trump Towers.
A source told me they met while the pair were out at separate lunches. They tell me Tony Blair "was passing by" and "knew a number of people at the table and was asked to sit for a chat".
However, they insist there is absolutely no truth in the rumour that the meeting was a pre-cursor to Mr Blair joining Donald Trump's slightly chaotic transition team in a consultancy role.
"This story is completely overblown and complete nonsense" they told me.
So, who knows, maybe when you're a millionaire (Tony) and a billionaire (Trump) swirling around the highest echelons of society, your paths just keep on crossing.
After all, there are only so many restaurants in New York.
