I'm A Celebrity contestants enter jungle for 2016 series
The much-anticipated new series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! has begun.
Ten celebrities from the worlds of sport, TV and entertainment will swap a life of luxury for the Australian jungle, where they will face their fears.
TV presenter Carol Vorderman has joined Olympian Sam Quek, retired footballer Wayne Bridge, ex-Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan, and actor Larry Lamb on the show.
The line-up is completed by Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, comedian Joel Dommett, Emmerdale actor Adam Thomas, presenter Lisa Snowdon, and dancer Jordan Banjo from dance troupe Diversity.
Vorderman, 55, said she doesn't care what people think about her choosing to participate in the series, saying: "I know people will ask 'why does Carol need to do this?' but I have never ever paid attention to what others think. I make my own decisions. I like the show and want to do it.
"I have been watching the show for years and have laughed so much. It is so funny".
She added that she hoped the other contestants are not "moaners" as she is up for "singing and bantering around".
Former EastEnders star Lamb, 69, is the oldest celebrity in the camp but is adamant that he will not pull out of the show until he is kicked out.
He said: "I'm not nervous, more excited. It's a great experience and a challenge.
"When you get to my age, you are always the old one. On a film or acting job, I am always the granddad! Am I fit? I'm nearly 70 years old and I am fit for a 70-year-old.
"I am definitely not going to quit the jungle though, I will stay until I am booted out".
Ant and Dec return as presenters once more having fronted the programme since its creation in 2002.
Previous jungle champions Stacey Solomon, Vicky Pattison, and Joe Swash will present companion show I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp, with comedian Chris Ramsey.
