Melania Trump is a 46-year-old Slovenian and former model who moved to the United States in 1996.
She met Donald Trump at a Fashion Week party two years later while he was still married - but separated - from his second wife Marla Maples.
The pair became engaged in 2004 and married in January 2005 in Palm Beach, Florida.
The couple have a 10-year-old son together named Barron William Trump, who Melania reportedly nicknames 'mini-Donald'.
Melania is said to speak five languages and runs a jewellery business through shopping channel QVC.
