Woman missing since August found alive and 'chained like a dog'

A woman who has been missing since August has been found alive and "chained like a dog" at a house in South Carolina.

Police were searching a property after a tip about a sex crime when they suddenly heard loud banging from a metal storage container.

Officers then found 30-year-old Kala Brown inside.

She told authorities she had been held there for two months.

It is unknown exactly when Kala Brown and Charlie Carver went missing.

A close friend of Kala's reportedly had dinner with her the night of August 29 at the couple's apartment outside Anderson, South Carolina. The following day, several friends received texts back from her. But after August 31, her phone has either been turned off or died.

The last image of Charlie is CCTV showing him leaving work on August 31. His phone has also since been turned off or died.

Several postings were made on Charlie's Facebook page in early September, stating the couple were fine and simply left.

Both Charlie and Kala's families are concerned the postings were made after the couple were reported missing. They insist Charlie's account was hacked.
