Athlete Tyson Gay's daughter shot dead in US
The teenage daughter of Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay has been shot dead in the US, police said.
The coroner's office in Fayette County, Kentucky, says in a statement that 15-year-old Trinity Gay died at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
The sprinter's agent, Mark Wetmore, confirmed in a text message that Gay's daughter was killed.
Lexington Police said in a statement officers went to a restaurant car park after witnesses reported gunfire being exchanged between two vehicles.
Officers located one of the vehicles and are questioning two people.
Gay, 34, has competed in the last three summer Olympics.
He was part of a team that won a silver medal in the 4 x 100 metre relay at the 2012 London Games. He was stripped of his medal after Gay tested positive for steroids in 2013.
