'We must make breakfast... Brexit a success', Welsh Tory leader says

Welsh Assembly Tory leader Andrew RT Davies made an embarrassing gaffe during his party conference speech by saying "breakfast" instead of "Brexit".

Delegates on the third day of the conference in Birmingham laughed and gave him a round of applause after he said: "Mark my words, we will make breakfast... Brexit a success."

Earlier, referring to Britain leaving the European Union, he said: "As the only leader of a mainstream party to campaign for this outcome, I often felt like a lonely voice in the wilderness."

"A loud voice, but a lone voice," he joked.

Davies said that leaving the EU is "a real opportunity for Wales" criticised "repeated scare-mongering" about the dangers of Brexit.
