Police officer's three-year-old daughter dies after being left in patrol car
A police officer's three-year-old daughter has died after being left unattended in a patrol car.
Little Cheyenne Hyer was pronounced dead at hospital after being left in the car, which was running, for four hours.
Investigators believe her mother Cassie Barker was visiting another police officer at his home when the tragedy happened.
Both officers, who work for Hancock County Police Department in Mississippi, have been put on paid leave while the death is investigated.
Post-mortem results are expected later this week.
