Jennifer Saunders dismisses Great British Bake Off rumours
Jennifer Saunders has denied she and comedy partner Dawn French will be the new hosts of the Great British Bake Off.
On Sunday, Channel 4 dismissed reports that cook Delia Smith would front the show when it leaves the BBC at the end of the current series.
A day later, award-winning comedian Saunders also ruled out the Absolutely Fabulous pair replacing Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins.
Taking to Twitter, the 58-year-old described rumours they would join the popular baking show as "complete b******s".
On Sunday, a spokesperson for Channel 4, denying reports about Smith, said: "We are taking our time to find the right presenters and judges for Bake Off.
"We have not approached anyone about the roles".
Giedroyc, Perkins and baking judge Mary Berry have already confirmed they will not re-join the show when it moves channel.
But Paul Hollywood has opted to continue in his role as judge.
The decision to move the show to a new channel was met with considerable criticism from fans and viewers.
