Boy, 14, charged after man dies and three injured in US primary school shooting

A 14-year-old boy has been charged as a juvenile with murder and three counts of attempted murder, after a man was shot dead and two children and a teacher were shot and injured at a primary school in the US.

The teenager is accused of killing his father at their South Carolina home before driving to nearby Townville Elementary School and opening fire.

A woman teacher and two six-year-old boys were injured in the attack.

One of the children remains in hospital in a critical condition due to the amount of blood he lost after being shot in the leg.

Authorities have not released a motive for the attack.
