'Rubble fell in on intensive care patients': Aleppo's biggest hospital 'bombed and put out of action'
Airstrikes hit the biggest hospital in eastern Aleppo putting it out of action, medics said.
The rubble "fell in on patients in the intensive care unit" after the missiles hit the hospital in the rebel held area in the early hours of Wednesday.
All staff and patients are believed to be unharmed but medics said the hospital is now out of service.
The M10 hospital is where Omran Daqneesh - the Syrian boy who was pictured dazed and covered in dust after an airstrike - was treated.
Mohammad Abu Rajab, a radiologist at the M10 hospital, told Reuters: "The warplane flew over us and directly started dropping its missiles on this hospital... at around 4 a.m.
"The rubble fell in on the patients in the intensive care unit."
Another hospital was also shelled, killing two patients and injuring staff members, medical organisation UOSSM Suisse said.
Since a ceasefire collapsed last week, rebel-held areas of Aleppo have been heavily bombarded, raising international concern over the plight of their 250,000 residents.
