Iconic Harry Potter house and his bedroom under the stairs up for sale for half a million pounds
Fans now have the chance of owning what is arguably the ultimate Harry Potter collectible and one of the most famous houses in the world, the home of Harry Potter and his cupboard under the stairs.
The property in Picket Post Close near Reading, known as 4 Privet Drive in the film, was selected out of hundreds of houses around the UK to become the home of Harry's Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia and cousin Dudley Dursley.
The property featured in the very first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The movie shows Harry forced to live in the cupboard under the stairs by his aunt and uncle before he discovers magic and Hogwarts school.
Although the house itself only features in the first film, it was recreated along with the entire street in a studio for the remaining phenomenally successful series.
Fans have been taking to Twitter to share their excitement at the prospect of living in Harry's old bedroom under the stairs. How much for this piece of movie memorabilia? The rather considerable sum of £475,000.
