Nigel Farage's successor as Ukip leader to be unveiled
Nigel Farage's successor as Ukip leader is to be unveiled as the party gathers for its annual conference.
Five candidates are in the running to take the helm of the party.
Frontrunner Diane James is the most well-known contender. She has refused to outline any policies during the contest, insisting that she did not want to make "policy on the hoof".
Lisa Duffy, Bill Etheridge, Elizabeth Jones and Phillip Broughton are also hoping to take over from Mr Farage.
Ms James, Ukip's home affairs spokesperson, said Mr Farage would still have a role to play in the party, but said she would not model her leadership style on the controversial politician.
Mr Farage, meanwhile, has not ruled out returning as leader if Brexit is not delivered.
Former party general secretary Jonathan Arnott dropped out of the race in August.
Suzanne Evans, who was given a six-month suspension from the party in March, has also been ruled out.
Former Ukip leadership favourite Steven Woolfe was expelled from the race after submitting his paperwork 17 minutes late.
