Former Spice Girl Mel C: Reunion plans 'didn't quite feel right'
Melanie Chisholm has ruled herself out of a possible Spice Girls reunion to mark 21 years since the band burst onto the UK pop scene with their song 'Wannabe'.
Writing in Love Magazine Mel C, also known as 'Sporty Spice', said the plans for the reunion, which involved a possible world tour, "didn't quite feel right."
Mel C added that the absence of Victoria Beckham or 'Posh Spice' played into her decision as for her the Spice Girls are a five-piece band.
"Anything less than the full line-up just didn’t feel like we’d be doing justice to the band or the fans", she wrote.
She also revealed that in her mind the "pinnacle" of her Spice Girls career was their performance at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
She wrote: "Didn’t we reach a peak with the Olympics? There’s a lot to be said for bowing out on a high note.
"For me the absolute pinnacle of my Spice existence was being watched by a billion people around the globe belting out ‘Spice up Your Life’ on top of a black cab at the 2012 London Olympics."
